Hi! I’m Jenny!

I’ve spent more hours than I can count in my kitchen making delicious meals for my family. I love to cook, bake, and experiment with different flavors and ingredient combinations!

Growing up, I remember taking cooking classes with my sister and cousins. We were quite young at the time, but we all had fun. I used to bake a lot with my babysitter and of course, my Mom. My Mom made sure all her kids knew how to cook and we were each responsible for cooking dinner one night a week. She was a busy nurse and my Dad was also busy with his career, so this allowed her a bit of a break in the kitchen and allowed us to learn at the same time. A win-win.

Once I moved out, my boyfriend (now husband) and I started out with just jars of pasta sauce and a bag of noodles as our dinners, but we branched out and started experimenting with different foods in the kitchen. While grocery shopping each week, we’d choose one new to us veggie or fruit to try. It was a fun way of trying new things and figuring out how to prepare some of these items if we didn’t like it raw. As years went on, we found a love of trying to make meals with as much of our garden produce as possible.
